Junk removal for Richmond and Munster
Richmond is part of the same rural Ottawa we grew up in, about 40 minutes west of our base in Metcalfe. We haul furniture, appliances, renovation debris, yard waste and full cleanouts.
With new subdivisions going up beside streets that have been here for generations, Richmond sees a lot of moves, downsizing and renovations, and every one of them leaves something to haul away.

- Richmond was laid out in 1818 as a military settlement for discharged British soldiers, and in 1850 it became the first village in Carleton County to incorporate.
- The Jock River runs through the village, and the Richmond Conservation Area has a dock for canoes and fishing right on the water.
- The Richmond Fair has run since the agricultural society was formed in 1841, and the 182nd fair was held in September 2026.
- The City approved zoning in 2025 for the first phase of the Richmond North subdivision near Perth Street and Meynell Road, with 451 homes planned alongside Fox Run.
- Nearby Munster Hamlet was developed in the late 1960s and 1970s and is now a community of about 425 homes.
City of Ottawa garbage rules, and where we fit in
City curbside garbage is collected every two weeks, with a limit of three items per collection, and each bulky item, such as a couch, mattress or chair, counts as one of those three.
Appliances aren't collected at the curb at all, and anything with refrigerant, such as a fridge, freezer or air conditioner, needs a certified technician's tag before it can be disposed of.
So if you have more than a few items, anything heavy, or a whole garage or basement to clear, having it hauled is usually the easier route. We load everything and take it away for you.
